Wine Academy

Undergraduate and Postgraduate formative courses

The Wine Culture courses introduced by Casone Ugolino have the ambition to educate highly skilled professionals in the wine sector. The ultimate goal is to create Italian “wine ambassadors” – that are experts with the ability to pass down the knowledge gathered in years and years of wine cultivation, as well as wine-related art, anthropology, and aesthetics. .

The two-weeks formative courses – held by Oenology professors – focus on the cultural and environmental aspects of wine cultivation. The theoretical classes are held during the morning, whereas the practical part takes place during the afternoon working in a proper company. The programme also includes visits lasting more than a single day to allow the participants to deepen their knowledge of some of the most distinguished Italian wine-related companies.

The two-weeks courses take place systematically throughout the whole year, but particularly during the Winter pruning. The courses typically end with a formative internship in a wine company.
